Water Extraction and Water Damage Restoration Steps1. Inspection & AssessmentSteamatic technicians will inspect the water damage, prepare a cost estimate and develop a restoration plan. Steamatic technicians can begin work immediately upon plan acceptance. 2. Water RemovalTechnicians will extract any standing water immediately. Quick action following water damage may help prevent further damage and mold growth. 3. Stabilize the EnvironmentDehumidifiers are installed to control moisture levels in both the structure and contents. Dehumidifiers pull moisture from the air and return warm, dry air. The process is assisted by high velocity air movers to evaporate moisture. 4. Monitor Drying ProcessSteamatic technicians will regularly monitor the drying process with various moisture meters for wood, concrete, floors and walls. Temperature and humidity measurements are taken throughout the drying process. 5. Re-lay / Replace FlooringCarpets and flooring can be re-laid or replaced once the structure is clean and dry.
